Year 9 Trading Challenge roadshow

On Thursday 25th March, Year 9 students took part in the Trading Challenge roadshow. It has been created in consultation with the London 2012 Organising Committee to give students a taste of the competitive world of business, while also allowing them to explore some of the Olympic and Paralympic Values. Students were given a virtual amount of funds and oil. They then assigned roles within the group such as market analysist and accountant and needed to respond to global news events and decide whether to buy or sell more oil as a result. The students responded superbly and were fiercely competitive in their market trading. Congratulations go to “Rocket Fuel”, comprising Valentina Carrieri, Thomas Baskeyfield, Danielle Blinco and Kieran Carnwell and “MCDB Oil”, comprising Chloe Moore, Matthew Brough, Brogan Horne and Danielle Freeman.
