AQA courses in English Language, English Literature and Media Studies are offered by the department. All the separate subjects are traditionally strong and achieve outstanding results. English Language involves the study of language change and how it is used in a multiplicity of contexts. English Literature involves the study of a wide range of texts from the Middle Ages up to the present day. Media Studies involves the study of contemporary issues across the platforms of print, e-media and moving image and the creation of products related to those issues.
