Drama at Painsley is a vibrant, growing department that has seen a vast amount of development over the past few years. Whether in Year 7 or Year 11, all drama lessons entail three key phases; making, showing and evaluating.
The making (or rehearsal) phase develops students interpersonal and communication skills as they work independently to blend ideas together and organise themselves. The showing phase develops students’ their self confidence and presentation skills as they share their work with an audience.
The evaluating phase develops their analytical skills as they reflect on their own and other students’ practical work, always focusing on the positive elements, or as we call it in the Department, “What Went Well?”
