Citizenship and Pastoral

Painsley has a uniqe approach to PSHE & Citizenship, which develops the knowledge and skills of our students to play and active role in society.

There are a number of collapsed timetable days throughout the college calendar which are dedicated to the delivery and development of the PSHE and Citizenship curriculum. The curriculum is mapped across the key stages in order to ensure the most effective delivery. Where possible and appropriate visiting speakers assist the pastoral teams in the delivery of the curriculum.

In addition to the themes days there are a number of calendared events offered to focus on specific aspects of the curriculum. This is further supported by departments who offer an appropriate contribution to the delivery of PSHE & Citizenship. There is a specific day dedicated to the development of STEM related PSHE & Citizenship issues, which reflects the college specialist status.
