Annual Celebration Evening at Painsley 2011

Painsley Catholic College celebrated its record breaking recent GCSE successes at its annual Celebration Evening for last year’s Year 11. This summer 99% of students achieved 5 or more of the higher A*-C grades at GCSE and 82% achieved 5 or more of the higher grades including English and Mathematics.

Students from last year’s Year 11 were invited back to receive their Progress files containing their GCSE certificates as a celebration of their successes. Other certificates presented included BTEC Music, BTEC Sport and Asdan. The certificates were presented by Mrs Patricia Hissey, Head of Year.

Particular congratulations were given to many students who were recognised for outstanding effort and achievement at GCSE.

All students were commended for their attitude and successes. In particular the students were congratulated on their participation in school events, their contributions to school life and their support for each other during their years at Painsley. The students made outstanding progress during their years at Painsley.
