Year 9 students from Painsley Catholic College, in conjunction with students from our Sixth Form at the Moorlands Sixth Form Centre and pupils from the primary feeder schools, have donated over 200 boxes filled with toys, jewellery, sports equipment and sweets to the Operation Christmas Child campaign. The scheme is run by the Samaritan’s Purse, to allow underprivileged children to enjoy the Christmas festivities this year. The appeal will send the decorated shoeboxes to children all over the world.
Miss Siobhan Timms, who co-ordinated the project at Painsley and the other schools, is thrilled by the response from the students and looks forward to repeating this successful project next year.
