As a Catholic College gospel values are at the centre of our College community. The Mission Statement of the College reflects our commitment to living and developing Painsley as a faith community. Our aim is to provide the highest quality of education in order to develop and fulfil the potential of all students in our care. The faith development of our students is of paramount importance and whilst we strive to live in a faith community, we also ensure opportunity for the development of religious belief and religious literacy to ensure the foundations of faith in all our students.

Painsley has a strong pastoral structure to ensure that all students achieve their best and are supported in their development as young people. Tutors and Heads of Year lead Acts of Worship on a daily basis. The Pastoral curriculum is delivered through a number of collapsed timetable days and tutor time further develop the students knowledge and skills in relation to their spiritual, emotional and moral development.

Painsley has outstanding Chaplaincy provision with a dedicated lay chaplain in addition to our College chaplain. The chaplaincy team facilitate many liturgical and spiritual opportunities for all students. The College chapel is at the heart of all we do.

The ethos of the college permeates all areas of college life. All departments have both sensitivity to and respect of the faith of the college and seek to enhance and develop the faith of the students in the curriculum pathways that are offered.

The Catholic nature of the college continues into our sixth form, The Moorlands sixth form. Students at the centre continue to develop their faith through dedicated pastoral teams leading daily acts of collective worship and provision for liturgical and spiritual activities. In addition all students study the Beliefs and Values course, further developing their application of Religious Education and skill development.

Painsley has a rich tapestry of enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities to ensure that it is a living faith community, with opportunities to reach out and work with the wider church. Painsley is a federation of our pyramid of schools and therefore seeks to work together to develop the academic abilities and individual nature of all our students.
