2024 has been a highly successful year for Painsley Sixth Form College. We continue to maintain our “Outstanding” reputation as indicated by Ofsted in May 2022, where the inspectors praised our enrichment, careers provision and quality of education. Our Sixth Form students have made us and themselves extremely proud. They have achieved outstanding grades and many have secured places in the top universities, whilst others are embarking on some fantastic degree apprenticeships.
Our learners were naturally anxious about completing their A-Levels/T-Levels and BTEC examinations. Thankfully, our rigorous and robust assessment programme provided numerous opportunities for our learners to develop their examination and coursework skills. Consequently, our students have certainly reaped the benefits of this, in their results. We are delighted that initial results show a 100% pass rate across all pathways, 52% at the higher grades A*, A and B and our T Level student 100% distinction pass rate.
It is difficult to pick out individual departmental success. All departments have excelled in supporting the students to achieve their potential throughout their two, or indeed seven years of study at Painsley Catholic College and Sixth Form.

I thank the parents who have supported the Sixth Form in such a devoted way and I wish the students the very best of luck in the next phase of their journey whether that be to university or into the world of work and I encourage them to keep in touch as part of the Painsley Alumni.”
Head of Sixth Form, Miss Lisa Dudley, said: “I am always proud of every single one of our students, completing A-Levels, T-Levels and BTEC courses, it is always a demanding and anxious time for young people. As always, our students have completed them with poise and have faced the challenges head on. I know that they will go on to make huge positive contributions in our society. As we celebrate these remarkable achievements, Painsley Catholic College remains dedicated to providing high-quality education and supporting the aspirations of all its students. We look forward to continuing this tradition of excellence in the years to come”.
At Painsley Catholic College we are also looking forward to September 2024! Students joining us have been engaged with a thorough transition programme. This includes taster lessons and transitional study aimed at bridging the gap from GCSE studies, to their chosen key stage 5 curriculum. We continue our exciting T-Level courses, being one of the first centres nationally to be able to offer the Digital T-Level. Building on this success adding to our programme of studies to now being able to offer two more T-Level programmes, T-Level in Business and Administration and Early Years Education.
Students interested in being part of the Outstanding Painsley Sixth Form are welcome to join us for our Open Evening on the 25th September, 6pm. Please sign up on the Painsley website. www.painsley.co.uk
